Rey Reynolds Hosts Juneteenth Unity Food Drive on June 19th, 2020.
Donations accepted from 10am-1pm, 1811 Main St. 98660.
Recent events such as Covid-19 shut downs, and protests along with violent riots have caused many who are already food insecure, to be in a dire situation.
As I see the incredible aftermath of these horrible calamities my heart truly breaks. I am a Peace Officer. I bring peace where there is no peace and light where there is no light. I speak Peace to the increasing domino effect of violence begetting violence.
The incident moves to divide us into factions, but we are really one people. One people longing for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I call on everyone to remember those black lives lost, those lives lost during the pandemic and those who gave their lives protecting others. I ask you to GIVE to those in need, in remembrance of those lost.
What better time to do this than on Juneteenth? The day America celebrates emancipation. Let’s break free from division, and come together as a community to help others.
I will be accepting donations personally on Friday June 19th from 10am to 1pm at 1811 Main St. in Uptown Vancouver (parking lot of Yogurt Time). Just drive through and drop off. We will be supporting Clark County Food Bank and Martha’s Pantry to help those most in need.
It’s time to stand for integrity, peace and justice. I hope I can count on your support. Together we can end this narrative, and work together towards mutual prosperity.
